Bird Creek Brewing | Our Story

Built in Temple. Brewed from scratch.

Bird Creek Brewing opened in downtown Temple in 2023 — and three years later, the TCBC named us 2026 Brewery of the Year.
How it started

How it started

We planted a flag in downtown Temple — a railroad town with good bones and not enough craft beer. The taproom went in, the tanks fired up, and we figured the rest out as we went.
Then the medals started coming in

Then the medals started coming in

We entered our first competition in 2024 and haven't stopped winning — 11 medals across the Texas Craft Brewers Cup, GABF, and the World Beer Cup. In 2026, the TCBC named us Brewery of the Year.
The food is the real thing

The food is the real thing

This isn't bar food with beer as an afterthought. The M. Bison runs a 100% bison patty with garlic aioli; the Bulgogi Burger 2.0 layers kimchi and gochujang aioli. Built to pair with whatever's pouring.
The Lawn, the music, the neighbors

The Lawn, the music, the neighbors

Live music three times a week, no cover — plus Santa Fe Jazz Jam first Sundays and La Banda salsa last Saturdays. The Lawn out back is where downtown Temple comes to breathe.

Every pint was brewed in these tanks, a few blocks from the old Santa Fe depot. We're part of a family with Treno Pizzeria and First Street Roasters and collectively share a passion for giving our guests high-quality products and a unique atmosphere.
